Keswick Estates near Charlottesville, Virginia

When visiting Charlottesville, you may want to consider staying at Keswick Hall. This small Orient Express Hotel is listed this year, 2009, as one of Travel + Leisure “500 World’s Best Hotels” and is on Conde Nast Traveler’s “Gold List” of The Best Places to Say in the World. The Hall is more like a large country inn with 48 rooms ranging from luxurious Master Suites to the more economical Guest Rooms.

While the Hotel itself is spectacular, the grounds and facilities will make you want to never leave. (There is a cure for that --- keep reading!) One of my favorite views from the Hall is looking out over the infinity pool across the perfectly manicured golf course.

Your stay can be as active or as relaxing as you desire. Keswick Hall offers an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, a fitness center, tennis, many trails and flyfishing events. If you are more interested in relaxation, there is always the spa. The spa offers many of the latest treatments such as raindrop therapy and hot stone massage. Their Vineyard Spa Treatment sounds really enticing!

For anyone that knows me, I live to eat! Fossett’s at Keswick Hall is my favorite restaurant in Charlottesville. The menu varies by season and by what the Chef just harvested from his garden across from Keswick Hall. The ingredients can’t get any fresher than that! In addition to enjoying the sumptuous food, you will notice the seamless professional service offered by all the staff.

So what if you get there and do decide that you don’t ever want to leave? Just outside of Keswick Hall is the gated community of Keswick Estates. Keswick Estates is the premier gated community in Charlottesville. There are two to eight acre home sites available ranging from $350,000 to $850,000. The building lots range from lake front, golf front to wooded. There is still a great selection available. There are also several homes on the market ranging from $1,700,000 to $5,000,000.
