1st Quarter 2010

The graphs below demonstrate the spike in sales that we normally see every spring with closings up in the second and third quarters and the first quarter is generally the low point of the year. Even though we are in uncertain times, the statistics indicate that this year will be the same. Currently in Albemarle County alone, there are 348 residential units under contract, up greatly from the 161 units sold last quarter.

We are seeing many new properties entering the market though, so it will be interesting to watch the absorption rate (current inventory in months) to see how well demand can keep up with the supply!
